Church Planting Team is a resource to assist planters in the process of developing a church planting team. This resource is provided to you at no cost. This site is designed to give you information about the process and the steps to take and resources to use during the process.
I pray that it will help you design, develop, disciple, and deploy an effective church planting team that will be used of God to plant a healthy, reproducing church that extends the kingdom of God to the ends of the earth.
A Bit of History
This study develops the section on "Church Planting Teams" from Basic Training for Church Planters, Unit 8, Relationships. It comes out of personal church planting experience, consulting and training planting teams, and the disciplined study on a Doctorate of Missiology at Southern Seminary.
The text of the dissertation is found under the Team Resources tab. The appendices are under the same tab. This website does not support Excel Spreadsheets. If you would like Appendix 6, 7, or 8 in the spreadsheet form that will do the calculations for the candidates, email me a request and I will be glad to send you the grid. Additional resource links will be added to assist with the process.
Helpful Hints
If your are not interested in reading the whole dissertation: Chapter 1, pages 19-23 are expanded materials from BT and explain the possilbe make up, styles for organizating, and possible future orientation of planting teams. Chapter 2, page 58, contains the definition of the planting team. The major content of the dissertation explaining a process for developing, discipling, and deploying the church planting team is found in chapters 3-5.
